Chickens in and around coup

If you’ve ever wanted to raise your own chickens, or if you need a little help taking care of the ones you already have, N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center has the class for you! From 9–11 a.m. on April 21, 2020, we’ll teach you all of the basics to start your backyard flock. Knowing how to get started with your flock can be fowl; from where to find chicks and chickens, to coop basics and egg production. But, after this course, we’ll have you egg-cited and prepared! Sign up online at https://backyardflocksforbeginners-adults.eventbrite.com for this free course.

Later that same evening, from 6–7 p.m. we’ll offer a condensed version for youth. Youth ages 5 through high school and parents who are interested in raising their own chickens are invited to attend. Register for this course here https://backyardflocksforbeginners-youth.eventbrite.com. and make sure to include the youth’s name.
