sharpshooter winners

Currituck County 4-H Sharpshooters had a fantastic day on the range this past weekend despite the wet and windy weather conditions. The  2021 NC 4-H Shooting Sports Tournament held October 9, 2021 at the Millstone 4-H Center in Ellerbe, NC had nine members of the  Currituck County 4-H Sharpshooters competing across 5 disciplines.

Kilynn Brinkley, Jacob Murray and Chloe Fredrick placed 1st in the small bore pistol team competition, with Kilynn placing 4th overall, Chloe was 9th overall and Jacob was 11th overall. Emma Solly placed 4th in the individual pistol competition and 10th overall.

The Senior Rifle Team (open sight), consisting of Kilynn Brinkley, Chloe Fredrick and Emma Solly placed 3rd in the team competition, with Chloe scoring 5th overall. 

In the Junior Division Addison Murray placed 2nd in the individual Rifle Open Sight competition and placed 5th overall out of all competitors.

The continued success of the Currituck Sharpshooters is a testament to the dedication and commitment exhibited by the team members and their coaches Kathy Melton (Club Leader) Malcolm Murray, Eric Brinkley and Jason Frederick. Congratulations to all!
